JOHN SHARON DECOYS
Mr. John Sharon ( 1921-1998)
For nearly 20 years following World War II John Sharon, born in rural Sandusky County, Ohio in 1921, was one of the leading forces in the Toledo school of decoy making. During that period, Sharon made cork-bodied decoys for his use as well as commercial sale. More importantly, his work served as a model for other area carvers.
